Monthly Meeting April 15th, 2014

OLD BUSINESS:
Blue Ridge Sports Association has requested to use our range for a fund-raising archery tournament on April 26th, 2014. We need to check with Freddie Crowder to see if stakes need to be set, and determine who from the club will be present.
Buckles are ordered for the invitational shoot.
Discussed the ASA procedure changes for the ASA Qualifier shoot in June, and Steve Seals will speak with our ASA representative to determine what we need to handle the first day tasks on our own, such as score cards. Mike Jarvis has a digital chronograph that can be used for clocking arrow speeds, and Steve will see if we can get score cards printed at Kinko’s.
The portable toilet still has not been serviced, but they have been provided the gate code both verbally (over the telephone) and in writing, so hopefully the issue will be resolved in the near future.
NEW BUSINESS:
Discussed the next shoot, which will the club “invitational” shoot on May 17-18, 2014. Charlie Alexander will take care of burgers, hot links, and hot dogs, Josh Brown will make beans, and Mike Jarvis and Steve Seals will ensure that we have other items such as condiments and buns.
Discussed door prizes for the invitational shoot. In addition to the door prizes provided by Cabela’s, the club will also be giving away other door prizes such as pop up blinds and six $50 gift cards.
Voted to add two more portable toilets, for a total of three, for the months of May, June, and July, to handle the increased attendance at the invitational, TBOT, and ASA qualifier shoot.
