Monthly Meeting April 16, 2013
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Neal Kuznar; Randy Probst; Freddie Crowder; Eugene Skinner; Joshua Brown
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
FINANCIAL REPORT: See Attached
OLD BUSINESS:
Blue Ridge Area Sports Association shoot had 28 shooters. BRASA wants to do this again next year.
Art Brown repaired 17 of our targets/inserts and two rebuilt targets were purchased (Antelope; Standing Bear) for a total of $2465. Everyone agreed that was a good price for the targets we have for both the practice range and tournament targets. The BRASA shoot was done with our practice targets that stay on the range!
Entrance gate installed! Need to ask Kent Bates about signage desired on this gate. Gate is to be kept closed except during events.
Neal Kuznar purchased two Big Green Kodiak targets for $239.98 to be used on the practice range during events.
Neal talked to the toilet rental people. Two of the four will be picked up leaving us two for the upcoming Deerman, TBOT, and Invitational events. After that only one will be needed.
No report from Casey Seals on the pricing for mowing. Will probably need to mow before Deerman shoot. Some discussion on how much should be paid for mowing. No real decision made. Randy will contact Steve Seals about contacting Casey for status on pricing.
Josh reported that he had contacted the DIVA Women Outdoors Worldwide and was now waiting on them.
Randy Probst reported that $154 was spent on trophies for the last club shoot.
NEW BUSINESS:
Neal will check with Steve Milewski about the 2012 tax return.
Trophies vs Tee shirts for awards was discussed. Decision made to do our regular trophies for the Deerman. Randy will order them. Buckles to use for Invitational was discussed. Decision made to use the same buckles as last year. Randy will get with Charlie Alexander about ordering from same place.
Eugene Skinner volunteered to cook at the Deerman. Since it is a shotgun start, there is should be more benefit to cooking. Decision made to cook hamburgers hot dogs and hot links like we used to.
