OLD BUSINESS
Still need to get driveway repaired. Cost to be determined. Club has authorized spending up to $3800 for the repair.
Randy has spent just under $200 for Door Prizes. Club has authorized $500. Steve will check into getting a Genesis bow from his contact in Decatur.
NEW BUSINESS
Steven Milewski is filing the necessary paperwork with the State of Texas this week to get our club’s Non-Profit Corporation set up correctly. There are several actions that need to be taken after the Corporation is established:
Have a Board meeting immediately to ratify the new procedures that need to be done to insure we comply with the Non-Profit Corporation Status. We will be looking for some direction from Steven to make sure we do this correctly.
Get the name of our organization changed to read: Collin County Bowhunters Assoc. Inc on ALL existing and ALL future documentation. Including but not limited to:
Our ASA Insurance Policy
Create a written lease for the land in the name of the Corp and get it signed by Mrs. Stroup and by at least two Club Officers.
Change the name on our Web Site to: Collin County Bowhunters Assoc. Inc.
Get a sign posted at the entrance to the range stating that use of range is for Members Only and that all others will be trespassing,
Post the safety provisions that we have established: No Broadheads, No Crossbows, No Alcohol, No firearms allowed except for those with CHL, No firearms to be discharged on Collin County Bowhunters Assoc. Inc. property.
Get the current Club Bank Account closed out and establish and new account in the name of the Corporation.
We will be mowing the range on Wednesday, June 20.
We will set targets starting at 4:30-5:00 on Thursday, June 21 and can use all the help we can get.
Wayne will set stakes on Friday.
Wayne will buy food and drinks for the Invitational. We agreed to have Precooked Bar-B-Que sandwiches, potato salad, and cobbler. Price for all inclusive lunch will be $6.00.
We need to rope off the lane where the bee hive is located and wait until cooler weather to get rid of the bees.
Club has agreed to do the Kids Archery Shoot on June 30 at the city park in Allen. We need all the help we can get. Parking passes will be provided by Cabela’s. We probably need to take a couple of our targets to use so we can spread the kids out a little more. Steve and Randy have temporary shades that we can set up. We also need to take, at the Club’s expense, some snack food and a couple of coolers of gator aide and bottled water . Not sure of the start time yet, but Wayne will send out notices as soon as possible, hopefully early next week. So far the following folks have agreed to help: Randy, Steve Seals, Steven Milewski, Terry Boyer, Wayne, possibly Casey Seals and Megan Alexander. We did this last year and it is fun. Come out and help if you can.
